The cabin air filter is responsible for removing the contaminants from the air inside of your vehicle. It also keeps your vehicle free of odors. You can find this filter either behind the glove or underneath the glove box. If you notice a moldy or musty smell, then you may need a new cabin filter. You may also notice that your defroster takes longer for you to work.

The engine air filter is designed to keep your engine free of dirt and contaminants. You need to have your engine air filter inspected every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. If you live in an area with dusty roads, then you may need to get it changed more often. It is a good idea to check with the owner's manual before you get the cabin or engine air filter changed.
