The Chevy Cruze offers two engine options, both of which boast an impressive fuel economy. The standard 1.4L turbo ECOTEC 4-cylinder engine. This 153-horsepower engine can achieve an EPA-estimated 28 MPG city and 38 MPG highway.

While the standard engine achieves stellar fuel economy designed to keep you away from the pump longer, the available 1.6L turbo diesel engine can provide even more fuel tank longevity. With this engine you can expect an EPA-estimated 30 MPG city and 45 MPG highway with a maximum range of 608 miles on the highway on just one tank.
